Born on the Mats of Rio

Professor Mario "Busy" Correa was born in Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He trained under world-class competitors Roberto "Gordo" Correa and Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhaes before joining the famed Gracie Barra Academy in 2002.

His brown and black belts were awarded by Professor Marcio Feitosa and Master Carlos Gracie Jr. himself. Mario's competitive accomplishments include winning the first Brazilian National Championships in 1993 and the BJJ Pan-Am Championships in 2008.

At Busy BJJ, we are like a big happy family. Our gym is full of people who respect and help each other, learning together and growing as a team. We offer world-class instruction in a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

What Our Students Say

“What an excellent BJJ school. This school lives up to its name as I am VERY busy and don't get to as many classes as I would like. But this school offers classes early in the morning before work, around lunch, after work and even after dinner time there is a class for you. The instructors and the fellow students are very respectful, friendly and helpful. I love the fact that you get such detailed instruction on technique for both self-defense and tournament play.”
