At Busy BJJ we offer a variety of programs to ensure that regardless of your size, stature, gender, age or skill-level, we have the classes you need. Our classes also address your personal goals, whether physical fitness, weight-loss, self-defense, stress relief or combative-related.

Busy Bees (Kids Program)

In our kids program, we teach your little ones how to coordinate their bodies, moving their upper and lower body at the same time. They will learn all the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, learn how to defend themselves, get a great workout, and build up their self-esteem, confidence, and endurance.

Our Busy Bees program is also strong on discipline and we will teach your kids how to respect others.

Fundamentals (Beginners)

The Fundamentals program is our introductory program into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In this program you will learn the basic moves you need for the rest of your BJJ life. We teach basic and effective techniques from all major positions: guard top, guard bottom, side-control top, side-control bottom, mount top, mount bottom, back control, and back defense.

The Fundamentals program rotates every three months (12 weeks) and each week we work on one of the six major positions. Over the course of 12 weeks you will attend at least two different classes, drilling each position thoroughly.

The program is divided into two separate levels. In Fundamentals 1 we fill your mind with elementary techniques and drills, pushing you to do as many classes as possible so your basics are solid. Approximately three months after you start, you move to Fundamentals 2 where you continue working on fundamentals plus begin training in our Organized Sparring sessions in a safe, controlled setting.

Intermediate

In the Intermediate program you will learn more advanced techniques and begin to develop a Jiu-Jitsu game specifically suited to your personal preference and style. You will also start training in our No-Gi classes and Free Sparring sessions. At this point we trust that you possess the appropriate technique and discipline to practice your Jiu-Jitsu with less direct supervision.

You should advance to the Intermediate program approximately two months after starting our Fundamentals 2 program AND only after we conclude that you are able to demonstrate the technique and self-control required to participate. Student welfare is Priority #1 at Busy BJJ.

Advanced

After you have earned your blue belt, it is time to start participating in our Advanced classes. This is where the real fun starts as you begin your journey towards becoming a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

These classes are taught by brown and black belt instructors. The classes consist of advanced moves where we focus on the smallest details since the details in your technique are what separate elite jiu-jitsu players from average ones.

Advanced BJJ training at Busy BJJ

Takedowns

Coach Tom goes over some of the most efficient takedowns for BJJ and self-defense. With a black belt in Judo and a purple belt in BJJ, he can be considered a specialist on taking a fight to the ground and will teach you all his techniques.

Every fight starts in the standing position and 97% of them end on the ground, so landing in a good position is very important to conquering any confrontation.

Takedown classes are also a great workout. Come try one of our classes to learn how to defend yourself and get some exercise at the same time.

Combat BJJ

Advanced class taught by Professor Mario, incorporating combat-focused BJJ techniques. With 8+ years coaching and cornering UFC fighters, Professor Mario brings high-level fighting knowledge to the mat.

No-Gi BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training without the traditional gi uniform. Develop your grappling skills in a format closer to real-world self-defense and MMA competition scenarios.

Fitness Training

Complement your BJJ training with our fitness programs including kettlebell and TRX training. Build the strength, endurance, and flexibility you need to perform your best on the mat and in life.

Self-Defense

Self-defense instruction is integrated into our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training at Busy BJJ. Learn practical techniques to protect yourself in real-world situations while building confidence and awareness.

Our emphasis is on teaching self-defense while promoting fitness, self-confidence, and improved health. BJJ is widely recognized as one of the most effective martial arts for real-world self-defense.

Free Sparring

Open sparring sessions for intermediate and above students with less direct supervision. At this level, we trust that you possess the appropriate technique and discipline to practice your Jiu-Jitsu more freely.

Free Sparring allows you to test and refine your skills against training partners of varying sizes and styles, developing the instincts and reactions needed for real-world application and competition.

VIP Club

In the VIP Club, all Busy BJJ students can watch videos of all classes so they can prepare themselves before attending classes at the gym. Watching the classes before you practice them helps a lot with your progress in BJJ.
